How do I take care of my floWerS?

If you received a fresh flower or hybrid bouquet -

  • Remove the wrapping (recycle & compost it!) and put your flowers in cold water as soon as possible

  •  Pick a vase where the flowers will have enough space (not too cramped) and wash the vase with hot soapy water to remove any bacteria left from previous bouquets

  • Remove any greenery from the bottom of the stems (keeps the water cleaner)

  • Keep your flowers in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, fireplaces, heaters and the fruit bowl (ages your flowers faster!)

  • Change the water & re-trim the stems every few days (no need to trim the dried pieces)

  • For that extra bit of care, you can rinse the fresh flower stems to remove any bacteria that’s built up, and remove the dead or wilted blooms and leaves every few days.

  • Once your fresh flowers have shared all of their beauty and life, compost them or dry them by tying the stems together with a piece of twine or string and hanging them upside down. Once they are fully dry (after a couple of weeks), place them in a dry vase and display in that perfect spot. If your bouquet has pieces that are already dried, just pull them out of the water and place them in a dry vase to enjoy for months to come!
